The Ambassador of Finland for South East Asia, his Excellency Mr.Harri Kämäräinen has held a celebration to honor the outgoing Honorary Consul of Finland to the Maldives, Mr. Abdulla Saeed, Chairman of Cyprea Private Limited. The Ambassador also introduced the newly appointed Consul to the Maldives, Mr. Ahmed Salih, Deputy Managing Director of Damas Company Private Limited. The function was held at Kurumba Maldives Resort.
The Honorable Mr. Ali Waheed, Minister of Tourism, and the Honorable Ms. Zahaa Waheed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, were amongst the guests at this occasion in addition to the Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls representing other nations from around the globe present at the function.
His Excellency Mr. Harri Kämäräinen, in his speech, spoke on the close friendship between Maldives and Finland and areas of collaboration between the two nations. He also expressed his appreciation towards the management of the recently established Finland International School. Further, he discussed the various advancements in technology by Finland in this rapidly developing world and how it could be beneficial for all.
